A Food Technology Apprentice from the University’s National Centre for Food Manufacturing in Holbeach features in a fascinating book which tells the story of the food and farming industries around the UK.

Written by the Royal Society for the encouragement of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce’s (RSA) Food, Farming & Countryside Commission, Fork in the Road tells the story of ‘seven-month bicycle ride around the UK to hear the too often unheard voices’.

Covering different geographical areas and discussing a number of topics relating to food and farming, the book illustrates the diverse nature of the sectors in the UK.

As part of its section on ‘Work’, Food Technology Apprentice Abbie Sands is pictured as one of many contributors to the industry. She is pictured at the National Centre for Food Manufacturing.
