FREE resource efficiency training for Lincolnshire small businesses
Would you like to learn how save money, increase profits, and stand out from your competition?
The University of Lincoln is offering free information and training for Lincolnshire-based small businesses in the food and related industries, to help you to gain an understanding of the benefits of resource efficiency.
Now open for booking, the training is suitable for companies between 1 and 250 employees, based in Lincolnshire serving the food and related industries.
It has three stages, allowing companies to develop knowledge relevant to their individual needs.
Resource Efficiency Awareness Seminar: Sustainable Practice in Food Operations Delivery
This half day morning seminar, delivered at one of three key locations in Lincolnshire, awards participants with a QCF unit in Understanding how to contribute to sustainable practice in food operations. This training provides an introduction to sustainable practice, and a comprehensive overview of resource efficiency, together with practical tips on waste reduction.

22 September, 9am – 2pm @ Holbeach Campus, South Lincolnshire
CIEH Level 2 Environmental Principles and Practice
This one day accredited course, also delivered at one of three locations in Lincolnshire, has been designed for all members of staff whose activities could have a significant impact on the environment. Many organisations have identified that tackling environmental issues can bring benefits to their business including reduced waste and utility costs, reduced liabilities and access to new markets and investors, and this course will provide businesses with the tools to address their own environmental performance. Those completing the one day course will be accredited with the CIEH Level 2 Environmental Principles and Practice, following a 30 multiple choice question exam paper.

CIEH Level 3 Environmental Awareness
This 5 day accredited course, delivered at the Holbeach Campus over the course of three weeks, is aimed at those looking to create a company-wide resource efficiency strategy. This includes advice on effective ways to make changes to both behaviour and process within the business.
Starting on 19 September @ Holbeach Campus, South Lincolnshire
Dates are: Monday 19 September, Monday 26 September, Monday 3 October, Wednesday 5 October and Monday 10 October.

Criteria
– small or medium enterprise (up to 250 employees)
– must be in the food and associated industries (not agriculture)
– must be based in Lincolnshire
