The National Centre for Food Manufacturing at the University of Lincoln’s Holbeach Campus is re strengthening its offer for apprenticeships in the food and drink sector.

The NCFM is currently recruiting for 43 Advanced Apprenticeship vacancies with the Bakkavor Group in technical, manufacturing and product development roles.

To date, there have been over 100 applications and there is an open evening at the Bakkavor Spalding site on 30th May to encourage more local uptake of the scheme. The vacancies have been advertised on the National Apprenticeship website and applications are being accepted until 16th July.

The project will be running nationally from September 2012 and will include many of the Bakkavor sites. Learners will be coming to Holbeach on a block release basis twice a year (18 month programme) and permenant positions will be offered after successful completion of the programme.
