Food Manufacture student, Andrew March, was nominated and won 1st prize for the Food Manufacture NVQ Award at the Meat Training Council’s Annual Prize Giving, which took place on 23rd February at Butcher’s Hall in London.

In addition to the NVQ level 2, Andrew further successfully completed the L11 Enable Learning Through Demonstration and Instruction.  Through Andrew’s efforts and successful achievement of his awards he has gained promotion at work and is now a Despatch Manager.  He was in the first FDQ NVQ co-hort at Woodhead Brothers, based in Spalding.  Andrew has now enrolled on the NVQ level 3 and he is pioneering the level 3 NVQ prior to other Woodheads’ candidates enrolling.  Andrew is due to be married in the summer and notes the £150 prize money will come in handy.
