Holbeach Campus Celebrates Butchery Training Award
The University of Lincoln’s Holbeach campus has been honoured with a prestigious regional National Training Award in recognition of their outstanding contribution and commitment to training, learning and development in the workplace.

Staff were presented with the award at the Regional Ceremony, held last month in Leicester, for working in partnership with Morrison’s Woodhead Brothers Ltd site in Spalding in training 500 new employees. The University devised and delivered several NVQ training pathways, as well as training managers to become champions to demonstrate best practice. The University also ran English language courses for those employees for who English was a second language.
James Jenkins, Site General Manager at Woodhead Brothers Ltd, Spalding, says: “The University of Lincoln has been paramount in supporting this programme. They have brought extended skills and knowledge to my site working as part of the Morrisson’s team. A fantastic achievement”.
